Eliot Spitzer’s real crimes--wielding the slave-driver’s whip against the transit workers for daring to withhold their labor-power, pushing to keep people labeled “sex offenders” locked up long after the end of their sentences, and on and on--only served in this reactionary society to advance his career. Now that sinister career is undone over a piece of harmless fun, and one can’t even gloat about it.
